Amelia Blackthorn is a word nerd, and aspiring author in the Mystery/Suspense realm, dabbling lightly into SciFi. On the verge of publishing her first book, she’s currently nestled in her cozy office in wintery Alberta, Canada, editing this webpage.
Amelia is known for busting out Kpop, TSwift, EDM, or any music, except country, while sitting down to write. Or, you could also find her spending far too long on Booktok/BookTube “researching” all the best ways to develop characters, edit, and build out a great plot line.
Enough writing in the 3rd person, that’s weird. I’m Amelia, I’ve been writing since I was a child, although little of it has been published, unless you count that weird short-story I won an award for in grade 3. I’m working up the courage to publish my first book in the upcoming year (2026).
I adore reading, and mystery or crime stories tend to by my go-to, although good literary fiction can sometimes drag me in. I hike, shoot photos, play sports, knit, ride motorcycle, ski, snowshoe, and love spending time with my family.
